LONDON (Alliance News) - Energy storage and clean-fuel firm ITM Power PLC and renewable electricity supplier Good Energy Group PLC on Tuesday said they have signed an agreement to explore the provision of green electricity for hydrogen production at ITM's refuelling stations.
The pair will study the supply of renewable energy and direct coupling to renewable power generation for producing hydrogen fuels in the UK.
"Utilising surplus renewable energy lies at the heart of the proposition for hydrogen as a clean fuel. We look forward to exploring options for direct renewable energy contracts through collaboration with Good Energy," said ITM Chief Executive Graham Cooley.
"The opportunities to work with ITM power to see how we can integrate the transport, heat and electricity market are really exciting, and we think we are a great fit to supply zero carbon renewable electricity for this inspiring venture," said Good Energy Chief Executive Juliet Davenport.
