IronRidge Resources Completes Soil Sampling At Marahui Gold Project

1st Jul 2019 14:40

(Alliance News) - IronRidge Resources Ltd on Monday said it has completed detailed face mapping and sampling at its Zaranou gold license and a soil sampling programme at its Marahui gold license.

Shares in IronRidge were down 4.0% at 15.00 pence in early afternoon trade.

The two licences are both located in the Ivory Coast, where the company has also completed 3,903 metres of aircore drilling at its Bianouan and Bodite gold licenses and identified multiple gold intersections, including 2 metres at 4.0 grammes of gold per tonne of ore, from trenching at the Kineta licence.

Marahui soil sampling, in addition, involved 5,129 samples and defined soil anomalies of between 30 parts per billion and 2,500 parts per billion over a 2 kilometre strike and 100 metre width.

The Zaranou face mapping was completed within 145 artisinal mining pits over a 16 kilometre strike, with 324 rock-chip samples including 144 metres of channel sampling.

Further, magnetics data has confirmed strike extension of 40 kilometres of a major shear zone hosting Abujar, a 1.7 million ounce JORC compliant gold project.

Ironridge Chief Executive Vincent Mascolo said: "We are pleased to report that field programmes continue to gather momentum within our[Ivory Coast] exploration portfolio.~"

"The addition of national geologists has bolstered our in-house exploration team and we have secured new office facilities in Abidjan to support our level of in-country activity.
