IronRidge Gold Targets Reinforced By High Grade Results At Dorothe

24th Sep 2018 13:02

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mining company IronRidge Resources Ltd on Monday said additional high-grade and broad gold trenching results have been recorded at its Dorothe prospect in Chad, reinforcing its previous gold targets.

The results of the 200 metre trenching programme represent the final results of its second trenching phase last season.

These include 84 metres at 1.66 grammes of gold per tonne of ore at Dorothe, including 6 metres at 5.49 grammes per tonne and 8 metres at 6.23 grammes per tonne, confirming grade continuity along the zone.

Overall, the trenching programme has indicated multiple targets including six shallow 'sheeted vein' targets and a deeply dipping 'main vein' target.

"Additional results of the infill and extensional trenching have confirmed and enhanced previously reported targets as well as defined new high-priority gold targets at the Dorothe prospect. All trenching results have now been received for the second phase programme; representing 9,360 metres of trenching at Dorothe," said Chief Operating Officer Len Kolff.

Field work at Dorothe is to recommence in October, aiming to define drilling targets at depth.

Shares at IronRidge were up 2.5% at 22.80 pence on Monday.
