(Alliance News) - Irish retail sales recovered in June, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Wednesday.
The country's retail sales volume rose 0.6% in June from May, after a 0.6% decline in May.
The sharpest monthly rise in sales was for electrical goods with 4.2%, while the biggest fall was recorded in bars with a decline of 4.1%.
On-year, retail sales growth jumped to 3.0% in June from 1.5% in May, the latter revised down from 1.6%.
The best annual growth was in furniture & lighting with 12%, while the biggest fall was in food, beverages & tobacco at specialised stores with a decline of 5.1%.
