10th Jul 2025 12:19

(Alliance News) - Ireland's consumer price inflation rate accelerated in June, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.

The country's on-year inflation rate accelerated to 1.8% in June from 1.7% in May.

Monthly, prices rose 0.5% in June, after they were flat in May from April.

On a harmonised level allowing for EU-wide comparison, Ireland's inflation rate picked up to 1.6% in June from 1.4% in May.

Prices rose 0.5% monthly in June by the harmonised measure. They had also been flat in May from April. The harmonised figures confirmed flash data CSO had released in late June.

Separately, the CSO reported industrial output rose 12% monthly in May, after a 13% decline in April.

Annually, output was 37% higher in May, picking up speed from 18% in April
