Ireland harmonised consumer price inflation rises 0.1% in October

30th Oct 2024 11:59

(Alliance News) - The harmonised consumer price index in Ireland rose annually this month, according to the Central Statistics Office's estimate.

The CSO on Wednesday said Ireland's harmonised index of consumer prices rose 0.1% on-year in October.

In September, the HICP was flat year-on-year, compared with an annual increase of 1.7% for the eurozone.

On a monthly basis, harmonised consumer prices rose 0.3% in October, having decreased 1.0% in September.

The harmonised index is used for EU-wide comparison. The two measures of inflation are different mainly due to HICP not including mortgage interest.
