Ireland annual inflation rate accelerates to 3.2% in November

11th Dec 2025 11:12

(Alliance News) - Annual consumer price inflation in Ireland accelerated in November, although the EU harmonised rate sped up by less than anticipated, date from the Central Statistics Office showed on Thursday.

The consumer price index rose by 3.2% in November from a year before, picking up from a 2.9% annual inflation rate in October.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.2% in November after an increase of 0.5% in October.

Ireland's annual harmonised CPI inflation rate, which allows for EU-wide comparison, was 3.1% in November, below the preliminary estimate of 3.2% the CSO had published last week but still picking up pace from an annual rise of 2.8% in October.

Harmonised prices fell by 0.2% in November from October, in line with preliminary data, after an increase of 0.4% in October from September.
