LONDON (Alliance News) - Semiconductor products company IQE PLC said it has successfully transferred the cREO technology it licenced from Translucent Inc to its North Carolina facility.
IQE signed an exclusive licence and option agreement for the rare earth oxide semiconductor technology from Translucent last September.
The company said that since then it has successfully transferred two of Translucent's reactors to its facility in North Carolina; the first of these systems has been installed and is now producing cREO templates. The second tool is due to be online in approximately a month.
"We are delighted to announce the transfer of the cREO process to our North Carolina facility. Materials produced on the newly installed tools clearly demonstrate the successful transfer of the technology," said Vice President Rodney Pelzel in a statement.
Shares in IQE were flat at 19.25 pence Tuesday morning.
