LONDON (Alliance News) - IQE PLC on Thursday said it has been named on a consortium of companies which will work with the US government on establishing the country's first Integrated Photonics Institute for Manufacturing Innovation.
The institute is being created as part of President Obama's National Network for Manufacturing Innovation, a push to bring academia and manufacturing industries closer.
IQE, which provides semiconductor wafer products and services, is part of a 55-strong panel of companies that will advise on the institute.
Shares in IQE were trading flat at 25.5 pence on Thursday.
