IP Group Names Ex-Professor Gordon Clark As Chair Of Ethics Committee

(Alliance News) - Developer of intellectual property-based businesses IP Group PLC on Monday named Gordon Clark as chair of its ethics committee.

Clark is a senior consultant and retired professor of Oxford University's Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, which focuses on long-term environmental sustainability of businesses and enterprises.

The ethics committee is to oversee the London-based group's ethical investment framework which ensures responsible investing by the group.

IP Group's Chief Executive Alan Aubrey said: "We are very pleased to have Clark working with IP Group as we formalise our approach to responsible investment.

The recent Covid-19 outbreak has further brought to light the role of investors and companies in ensuring best practice in environmental, social and governance issues.Clark has an excellent insight into this subject and we look forward to working with him."

IP Group shares were up 0.5% at 63.30 pence on Monday morning in London.
