(Alliance News) - Internet of Things investment company Tern PLC on Monday said it has appointed Matthew Scherba as investment director.
Scherba previously worked at Breed Reply, a UK venture capital investment company focused on Internet of Things technology. He has 25 years of start-up and scale-up experience specialising in working and investing in technology companies across the Internet of Things industry.
Internet of Things is a concept of connecting any device with an on/off switch to the internet and/or to each other. This includes everything from cellphones, coffee makers, washing machines, headphones, lamps and wearable devices.
Al Sisto, chief executive officer at Tern said: "Matthew's experience strengthens our team and embodies our strategy at Tern to find and help create high value growth IoT businesses. He is an experienced investment professional with an excellent network and strong understanding of the IoT arena in the UK, Europe and the US."
Shares in Tern were down 1.6% at 8.71 pence on Monday in London.
