(Alliance News) - Investec PLC and Investec Ltd on Thursday said that David van der Walt will step down from the board as executive director with immediate effect, ahead of his retirement from the group at the end of 2020.
He will be replaced by Richard Wainwright, who is currently CEO of Investec's South African banking division Investec Bank Ltd.
Van der Walt had been an executive director for two months since April, and has been chief risk officer for the London & Johannesburg-listed financial services firm since July 2019.
Shares in Investec PLC were up 0.3% at 173.05 pence on Thursday in London, while shares in Johannesburg were down 0.4% at ZAR36.96. Investec Ltd's shares in Johannesburg were 0.7% lower at ZAR35.80.
