LONDON (Alliance News) - Invesco Asia Trust PLC on Monday said its net asset value rise beat its benchmark in the year to the end of April on the back of a strong rise in Asian equities over the period.
The trust said its net asset value per share total return for the year was 28.3%, ahead of the 22.7% return from its MSCI All Countries Asia Pacific ex-Japan Index. Asian equities performed well over the period, boosted by monetary easing, optimism about economic reform, and the low equity valuations a year earlier.
The trust also said its final dividend will be 3.65 pence per share, up from 3.45 pence a year earlier.
Shares in Invesco Asia Trust were down 3.2% to 187.25 pence on Monday.
