LONDON (Alliance News) - Intertek Group PLC said Tuesday that it has appointed André Lacroix as Chief Executive with effect from May 16, 2015.
At this time he will also join the FTSE 100-listed company's board. He succeeds Wolfhart Hauser who will step down from the board and retire on May 15, after ten years as CEO.
Intertek said Hauser will remain available to support Lacroix as required until the end of December 2015.
The incoming Chief Executive joins from FTSE 250-listed Inchcape where he has served as group CEO for nearly 10 years. The company confirmed in a separate statement Tuesday that he will leave the group in March next year after publication of Inchcape's 2014 Annual Results.
Lacroix is currently the senior independent director of Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC and Chairman of Good Restaurants AG. Before this he served as chairman and chief executive of Euro Disney S.C.A.
Inchcape said it has commenced a succession process for the role.
