LONDON (Alliance News) - Interserve PLC on Tuesday said it has won a place on the UK Department of Health's GBP4.00 billion ProCure22 construction framework, due to start on Saturday.
The support services and construction group said it is one of six companies to be awarded a place on the framework. Fellow construction giant Kier Group PLC announced last month that it had also been appointed to the framework.
Interserve said it has been working towards securing a place on the ProCure 22 framework since 2014. The framework is geared towards delivering and developing NHS and social care capital schemes in England.
"Our business is focused on delivering great patient experiences and this is why ProCure22 is strategically very important to our long-term business objectives in the healthcare sector. Ever since the first pilot framework was launched in 2002, we have sought to deliver high quality clinical space for the NHS," said Interserve Chief Executive Adrian Ringrose.
"Together with our existing clients and experienced supply chain, we have sought to balance the complex needs of the sector with the provision of consistent and capable supply side teams that can help the NHS drive efficiency in its capital resource allocation," Ringrose added.
Shares in Interserve were up 1.5% at 385.25 pence on Tuesday morning.
