Interserve Expects To Meet 2014 Expectations Boosted By Contract Wins

13th May 2014 08:31

LONDON (Alliance News) - Construction company Interserve PLC Tuesday said it is trading in line with expectations in 2014, boosted by a number of contract wins from clients including the UK Department for Education, Christie NHS Foundation, and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

The FTSE 250 company said internationally it won contracts in Oman and UAE, while in Qatar, work won included projects worth more than GBP100 million, such as Doha Festival City, the country's largest retail and entertainment development.

Interserve said the integration of Initial Facilities, acquired from Rentokil Initial PLC for GBP250 million, is on track.

"Conditions in most of our markets are improving and work winning during the period has been good," Chief Executive Adrian Ringrose said in a statement. "Year-to-date performance for the group is as expected and early progress with Initial is on-track, which underpins our confidence in meeting expectations for 2014."

Interserve shares were quoted up 1.0% at 696.95 pence Tuesday morning.
