InterQuest In Framework Deal With European Bank, Insurance Authorities

17th Jun 2015 06:57

LONDON (Alliance News) - InterQuest Group PLC said Wednesday it has been named "primary supplier" to the European Banking Authority and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, following a formal tender process.

The information technology recruitment firm said the new framework contract to supply interim IT professionals for a period of up to four years has a maximum value of EUR13 million.

InterQuest said it has been working with the London-based EBA and the Frankfurt-based EIOPA since 2012. The two were formed in 2011 as part of the European System of Financial Supervision.

The EBA is an independent EU Authority which works to ensure effective and consistent prudential regulation and supervision across the European banking sector, InterQuest said.

EIOPA's responsibilities are to support the stability of the financial system, transparency of markets and financial products as well as the protection of policyholders, pension scheme members and beneficiaries, it said.

"This achievement clearly demonstrates the depth of our experience within financial markets, specifically within the regulatory space, and our proven ability to connect businesses with the most in-demand, specialist talent in the market," said InterQuest Chief Executive Officer Mark Braund.
