LONDON (Alliance News) - International Biotechnology Trust PLC on Thursday said it had its strongest performance yet agaisnt its NASDAQ Biotechnology Index benchmark in its last financial year.
The trust said its net asset value per share rose by 48.2% to 586.4 pence in the year to August 31, while the share price rose by 75.4% to 551.5p.
Over the same period, the FTSE All-Share gave a negative return of 2.3%. The NBI (sterling denominated) had a return of 33.6%.
Shares in the trust were up 1.7% at 526.00p on Thursday late morning.
