Intercede Wins Contract With US Aerospace And Defence Firm

5th Nov 2013 08:23

LONDON (Alliance News) - Intercede Group said Tuesday it has won a contract with an unnamed US aerospace and defence contractor.

As part of the contract, Intercede will manage the identity credentials of over 500,000 employees from four global aerospace and defence contractors with its MyID software.

The firm said the contract will contribute to revenues in the current financial period and beyond, noting that the average period of revenue generating engagement with a new Intercede customer is over five years.

MyID is an identity management platform that enables global organisations and governments to create trusted digital identities for employees and citizens on secure devices such as smartcards, smartphones and tablets.

Richard Parris, Chief Executive and Chairman of Intercede, said, "This is a tremendous reinforcement of our market leading position in the cyber security ecosystem and is indicative of our growth trajectory."

The contract award follows a similar win with a European aerospace firm announced in September this year.

Shares in the firm are up 14.61% in early trading Tuesday at 154.73 pence per share.
