LONDON (Alliance News) - Intercede Group PLC said Friday that it was teaming up with Netherlands-based Gemalto NV to provide a security application for employees of Canadian telecommunications company TELUS Corp.
Intercede's MyID system, which integrates Gemalto's Universal Integrated Circuit Cards and Personal Identity Verification applications, will allow TELUS employees to access secure buildings and networks using their smart phones.
"Intercede has a long-standing relationship with TELUS and we are excited to see the real business benefits MyID will bring our partner," Intercede Chairman and Chief Executive Richard Parris said in a statement.
Shares in the security software company were trading up 1.7% at 169.00 pence Friday morning.
