Inspired Energy Revenue Set To Beat Expectations With Earnings In Line

28th Jan 2016 09:24

LONDON (Alliance News) - Energy procurement consultancy Inspired Energy PLC on Thursday said its revenue for 2015 is set to outpace expectations, with adjusted earnings to be in line.

The company said revenue for the year is expected to be around GBP15.1 million, up 40% year-on-year and ahead of market expectations. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation are expected to be around 25% higher, in line with market forecasts.

The group said its corporate arm had a strong year, driven by good organic growth and the addition of the WPUK and STC businesses to its portfolio. Its SME division also saw good revenue and profit growth in the year, helped by operational improvements.

"With the enhanced structures and team now in place, we have a very strong platform for growth which we are continuing to experience in the current year," said Janet Thornton, Inspired Energy's chief executive.

The company will publish is annual results on March 21.

Shares in the firm were up 5.3% to 13.95 pence.
