LONDON (Alliance News) - Satellite communications company Inmarsat PLC Monday launched its new satellite phone.
The phone, the IsatPhone 2, has the longest battery life in the industry, can receive incoming call alerts even with the antenna stowed, and registers quickly with the satellite network, the company claims.
?IsatPhone 2 is one of a suite of new products and services that Inmarsat is launching during the course of 2014, which cover both our new Ka-band generation of high-speed broadband services (Global Xpress) and our award-winning L-band services,? Ronald Spithout, president of Inmarsat Enterprise said in a statement.
Inmarsat shares were up 1.5% at 722.5 pence Monday morning, one of the top gainers on the FTSE 250.
