(Alliance News) - Inland Homes PLC on Friday said it has signed a contract with affordable homes provider Octavia Housing for the development of Afrex House in the Alperton area of London.
The housebuilder said the GBP6.5 million contract is for the development of 31 one, two and three bedroom apartments in a former industrial site in Alperton.
"Inland Homes has proven credentials in the delivery of turn-key schemes on behalf of partners and this contract. Our expertise and experience will ensure the commercial viability of this scheme and its success in meeting both local needs and the borough's aspirations," said Inland Homes Chief Executive Stephen Wicks.
Octavia Development Director Dave Woods added: "Octavia believes in supporting mixed communities in London and in enabling people on lower or average incomes to continue to live close to where they work or have social ties. These homes support this ambition through helping the London Borough of Brent to meet some of their housing needs."
Demolition of the existing buildings on the site is scheduled for April with completion of the development expected in July 2022.
Inland Homes shares were up 0.6% at 91.50 pence each on Friday morning in London.
