LONDON (Alliance News) - InfraStrata PLC said Tuesday its gas-storage project at Islandmagee in County Antrim had been deemed eligible for support under the UK Treasury's GBP40 billion infrastructure guarantee scheme.
The government scheme provides support to infrastructure projects across all sectors in the UK.
"We welcome that, at a time when it is trying to make savings, the government is ready to lend its backing to ensure that the most important infrastructure projects [...] get the finance they need," Paddy Larkin, director of Islandmagee Storage Limited, said in a statement.
Shares in Infrastrata were trading up 4.5% at 12.80 pence Tuesday afternoon.
