(Alliance News) - Induction Healthcare PLC on Tuesday renewed and expanded its contract with NHS Wales, giving additional scope to include front line support services.
The London-based firm's contract was renewed at GBP1.6 million, of which GBP1.2 million will be recognised as revenue in the year ending March 31, 2022. Initially the contract was with Attend Anywhere, which was acquired by Induction in June.
The renewal is Induction's first major contract win since its acquisition of Attend Anywhere in June and will offer additional scope to provide front line support services.
"We are excited by the impact that Attend Anywhere had working with NHS Wales and look forward to giving staff and patients in Wales increasingly flexible options for delivering and receiving care in the year ahead - even after local restrictions have been lifted," said Chief Executive James Balmain.
Many NHS services were pushed online during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the flexibility virtual care offers is something that Induction wants to continue utilising.
Balmain referred to the contract renewal as a union of "two teams with a common ethos" whose services complement each other.
Shares in Induction were up 0.7% at 69.00 pence in London on Tuesday.
