(Alliance News) - Indivior PLC said Wednesday it hired former Shire PLC finance chief Graham Hetherington as non-executive of the drug maker from the start of November.
Hetherington served as audit committee chair for healthcare firm BTG PLC from 2016 until its GBP3.3 billion acquisition by Boston Scientific Corp in August.
Prior to this, he served as chief financial officer of fellow drugmaker Shire PLC between 2008 and 2014 having previously served in the same role for alcohol firms Bacardi & Co and Allied Domecq PLC.
"As announced in July 2019, we have undertaken an external search to identify an additional independent non-executive director," Indivior Chair Howard Pien said. "We are delighted to announce that Graham Hetherington has agreed to join the board."
"Graham brings with him a strong track record of industry and financial experience having served as the chief financial officer of two FTSE 100 companies," Pien added, referring to Shire and Allied Domecq.
Shares in Indivior were 2.5% higher at 52.72 pence in London on Wednesday.
