LONDON (Alliance News) - Independent News & Media said Tuesday that Terry Buckley is stepping down as a non-executive director effective May 31.
The Irish media company requested Buckley defer his retirement from the role so the company could meet the board composition recommendations of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
Buckley was appointed in July 2012. Independent News & Media did not give any details about a potential successor.
Chairman Murdoch MacLennan said: "I'd like to express my appreciation to Terry for the independent perspective and significant commitment he brought to the role during his six years as a director."
Shares in Independent News & Media went untraded Tuesday,last quoted at EUR0.098 each.
