Independent Investment Trust Reports 10% Net Asset Value Total Return

14th Jan 2015 10:02

LONDON (Alliance News) - The Independent Investment Trust PLC Wednesday said it produced a net asset value total return of 10.4% in the financial year ended November 30, 2014, while "theoretical" investments in the FTSE All-Share Index and the FTSE World Index would have produced total returns of 4.7% and 13.7%, respectively.

A share price total return of 10.6% left the discount broadly unchanged over the year at 6.5%, according to the trust.

"While our characteristically high UK stake prevented us from matching the performance of the world index, we are pleased with its performance in relation to the UK market," Douglas McDougall, chairman, said in a statement.

The trust's net asset value per share rose to 310.8 pence from 287.2 pence over the course of its last financial year.

The Independent Investment Trust shares were down 0.5% at 289.50 pence on Wednesday.
