(Alliance News) - Income & Growth VCT PLC on Wednesday said it has hired Maurice Helfgott as a non-executive director effective immediately.
The investment trust added that Helfgott will assume the role of company chair on July 1, replacing current Chair Jonathan Cartwright who will step down from his role of director & chair on June 30.
Helfgott is currently an independent non-executive director at menswear retailer Moss Bros Group PLC and a non-executive director at retail company Ashworth & Parker Ltd. He is also chair at British menswear retailer Oliver Sweeney Trading Ltd and of software solutions provider Brightpearl Ltd.
"Maurice has extensive experience as a company chair and independent non-executive director with a proven track record in entrepreneurial, growth and established businesses across a wide range of companies," Income & Growth VCT said.
Shares in the venture capital trust closed flat at 71.00 pence each on Wednesday in London.
