LONDON (Alliance News) - Vehicle distributor and retailer Inchcape PLC said on Monday it has appointed Richard Howes as its new chief financial officer, following the announcement in October that John McConnell is leaving the company.
The company said McConnell will step down from his position on February 29, after having previously announced his decision to leave Inchcape and return to Australia.
Howes will become Inchcape's CFO on April 11, leaving his current position as CFO of textile company Coats Group PLC. Howes also held the position of CFO at Topaz Energy & Marine, an international oil field services company.
Coats Group said it had initiated the search to appoint a replacement CFO.
"We are delighted to be appointing someone of Richard's calibre and experience to Inchcape. He will be a very valuable addition to the business, having demonstrated a strong track record leading finance functions at a number of international public companies," said Inchcape Chief Executive Stefan Bomhard.
