Wildcat Petroleum PLC - targeting investment opportunities in businesses and assets within the upstream sector of the petroleum industry, which began trading at the end of 2020 - Hires Michael Edelson as senior business adviser with immediate effect. Says Edelson is a non-executive director of English football team Manchester United FC and chair of IT services & cloud company SysGroup PLC. Notes he has helped to float more than 20 companies during his career, one of which being online clothing retailer ASOS PLC.
"Having him on board is a huge coup for Wildcat and a great vote of confidence in the company's vision. With Michael's assistance we believe that we can achieve our goals quicker and more effectively," says Chair Mandhir Singh.
Current stock price: 1.36 pence, up 39% on Monday
The shares more than tripled since the company started trading on the London Stock Exchange on December 30.
