Umuthi Healthcare Solutions PLC - technology-led healthcare - Appoints Jeffreys Henry LLP as its new auditors, effective immediately. Jeffreys Henry replaces PKF Littlejohn, which had resigned on March 10. Umuthi says that in resigning PKF Littlejohn "confirmed that there are no reasons or matters connected with their ceasing to hold office as auditors, which they consider should be brought to the attention of the members or creditors of the company."
Umuthi shares were suspended from trading on March 10. The UK Financial Conduct Authority said on March 11 that this was "to protect investors, following the publication of incorrect information by the issuer that the FCA believes may mislead investors". The regulator gave no further details and referred questions to Umuthi, which did not respond to a request by Alliance News for a response to the FCA announcement.
The South African firm, which distributes pharmaceuticals and provides medical facilities in remote areas, had only just started trading on the London Main Market at the start of March. The stock listed at 30.00 pence apiece, spiked to 160.00p and then fell back to 86.00p before being suspended.
