Onward Opportunities Ltd - invests in smaller UK companies - Raises GBP1.4 million gross from a direct subscription of shares from the company in response to "significant investor demand". Says it will sell at least 1.1 million new shares at 126.64 pence to new an existing investors, noting this is at a 1.7% premium to its net asset value per share on Friday last week of 124.52p. Onward Opportunities says it will keep the subscription offer until this Friday to facility any further demand. "In the headwinds of domestic and international political volatility, it is more important than ever to demonstrate demand for our high touch, specialist investment strategy," says Laurence Hulse, lead fund manager. "We are sanguine about the valuation opportunities such volatility produces. Onwards."
Current stock price: 131.50 pence for GBP33.8 million market capitalisation
12-month change: up 7.4%
