UK Oil & Gas PLC - onshore exploration and production in UK and Turkey - Appoints Matt Gormley as chief financial officer.
Gormely will join from Shanta Gold Ltd, where he was group financial controller for four years since 2017.
In addition, with effect on January 1,2022, UK Oil & Gas will restructure its board, with Finance Director Kiran Morzaria stepping down to become a non-executive director, and Nick Taylor will become non-executive chair, replacing Allen Howard, who will become executive director on a part-time basis.
"We are delighted to welcome Matt Gormley into the UKOG team. His fresh perspective from an alternate sector will be particularly valuable as UKOG seeks to expand internationally and diversify into green geothermal and hydrogen energy within the UK," says Chief Executive Stephen Sanderson.
