IN BRIEF: UK CMA serves initial enforcement for Capita business sale

Capita PLC - London-headquartered outsourcer - The UK Competition & Markets Authority serves an initial enforcement order in relation to NEC Software Solutions UK Ltd's acquisition of Capita Ltd and Capita Software US LLC, its secure solutions and services businesses.

Capita announced the sale of the businesses to NEC in October 2021.

The sale is another step in Capita's strategy to become a simpler and more focused company and towards its goal of reaching GBP700 million in non-core disposal proceeds by June.

The consideration for the business was last expected to be GBP62 million, on a cash-free debt-free basis.

Current stock price: 37.58 pence, down 2.0% on Wednesday

12-month change: down 1.0%
