IN BRIEF: U&I Gets Planning Permission For Landmark Court, Southwark

16th Jun 2020 14:29

U&I Group PLC - London-headquartered land regeneration - Southwark Planning Committee agrees to grant planning permission for the company's Landmark Court public private partnership scheme. Granting of permission for the project, which has a gross development value of GBP240 million, is subject to the normal six-week procedural process. The scheme is forecast to deliver between around GBP10 million and GBP15 million of development and trading profit to U&I over its five-year lifespan and includes "significant development management fees" from financial 2021. The mixed-use development - which will deliver more than 200,000 square feet of office, retail shops, and workspace, as well as homes - is held in joint venture with Transport for London and is located on Southwark Street near London Bridge station. Work on the site should begin in the first quarter of 2021, completing in 2023.
