IN BRIEF: Tullow Oil offshore Suriname well drilled to total depth

Tullow Oil PLC - South America and Africa-focused oil and gas company - Announces Goliathberg-Voltzberg North exploration well drilled in Block 47, offshore Suriname, has reached total depth of 5,060 metres in 1,856 metres of water. Notes Tullow is the operator of Block 47 with a 50% stake, Petroandina Resources Corporation NV holds 30% and Ratio Suriname Ltd holds the remaining 20%. Says it encountered a "good quality" reservoir but only minor oil shows, with the well now being plugged and abandoned.

"Tullow and its partners will then assess the data gathered from the well and carefully consider next steps," says Tullow.
