Trident Royalties PLC - London-based diversified mining royalty company - Notes work at Thacker Pass lithium project in Nevada is progressing. Says earthworks will start in the second half of the year, and will support the aim to start production in the second half of 2026. The construction budget is around USD125 million through to the third quarter of 2023. Construction started at Thacker Pass in March, and is being operated by Lithium Americas Corp. Thacker Pass is targeting 80,000 tonnes of battery-quality lithium carbonate output capacity in two phases of 40,000 tonnes per year.
Trident holds a 60% interest in a gross revenue royalty over the entirety of Thacker Pass.
