IN BRIEF: Trainline In Lockdown-Hit Half With More Travel Bans Ahead

Trainline PLC - train booking platform operator in UK - Net ticket sales plunge 81% to GBP358 million in half-year ended August 31, with revenue down 76% to GBP31.0 million from GBP129.0 million a year earlier. Pretax loss narrows to GBP44.7 million from GBP87.5 million, as finance costs of GBP79.6 million from a year earlier, almost wiped out. Says trading conditions will continue to be tough, though its GBP162 million in liquidity headroom will help cushion the blow of lockdowns in response to the second wave of Covid-19.
