Tirupati Graphite PLC - graphite and graphene producer in Madagascar and India - Says Tirupati Speciality Graphite Private Ltd gets approval from the European Chemicals Agency, granting it REACH certification for its range of graphite products for marketing and sales into the EU. REACH is an environmental assessment used by the EU to judge a chemical substance's impact on health and the environmental.
"We are delighted that the ECHA has approved our REACH registration for our range of expandable graphite products, which have various applications like flame retardancy in construction, automobile and aerospace industries, gaskets and sealings, thermal management, flame retardant coatings and many more niche areas, says Chief Executive Shishir Poddar.
"Having already marketed and completed several pilot trials, this opens access for us to capitalise on the fast-growing appetite for these products in Europe where we anticipate ramping up sales, and into those countries globally that have adopted the REACH standard," he adds.
