Tirupati Graphite PLC - graphite and graphene producer in Madagascar and India - Says it is fast-tracking the expansion of primary graphite output from its Vatomina and Sahamamy projects in Madagascar. Adds it is on track to commission the Vatomina project in the second quarter of 2021, with the aim of building annual production to 6,000 tonnes. Notes this will take the capacity across both projects to 9,000 tonnes per year of flake graphite output.
The earth work conducted annually in mining activities is expected to see an increase from the current 200,000 tonnes per annum to around 600,000 tonnes per annum across both projects upon completion.
