IN BRIEF: Tesco picks Citi for next part of GBP1 billion share buyback

Tesco PLC - Welwyn Garden City, England-based supermarket chain - Contracts with Citigroup Global Markets Ltd to run the third tranche of Tesco's GBP1 billion share buyback. The third tranche will be worth GBP400 million. It will be completed by April next year. The second tranche of the buyback, which was run by Goldman Sachs International, was completed on Friday last week. In total, since the programme began in April, Tesco has bought back 188.3 million shares worth GBP600 million. All shares repurchased will be cancelled to reduce capital.
