IN BRIEF: Taylor Maritime sells two vessels for USD33.3 million

9th Mar 2022 19:24

Taylor Maritime Investments Ltd - Guernsey-based vessel investment company - Will sell one 2006 built Handysize vessel and one 2011 built Supramax vessel for USD33.3 million, a deal which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.

Company only had one Handysize vessel in one of Ukraine's Black Sea ports, but the crew members have been repatriated to India and the ship remains in port, unable to leave.

"We are deeply concerned about the conflict and the tragic loss of life in Ukraine and commend our commercial and technical managers for prioritising our crew's safety first and foremost. We continue to monitor the situation very closely. Notwithstanding, the market has continued to firm since Chinese New Year and we have been able to secure the sale of two assets at attractive levels, crystallising significant returns for shareholders," says Chief Executive Officer Edward Buttery.
