IN BRIEF: Symphony International's net asset value grows

1st Sep 2021 14:15

Symphony International Holdings Ltd - Asia Pacific-focused investor - Reports net asset value per share of USD0.83 at end of June, up 12% on USD0.74 at December-end. It says: "The change in NAV from 31 December 2020 to 30 June 2021 is due to an increase in share price of Minor International Public Co Ltd and the value of unlisted investments, predominantly related to Indo Trans Logistics Corp and Soothe Healthcare Private Ltd, which were partially offset by a depreciation in the Thai Baht and other minor movements related to investment valuations."

Says uncertainty remains due to Covid-19, which continues to impact countries in Asia, but notes promising outlook with vaccines. "Generally, most of Symphony's investments that had been materially impacted by the pandemic have seen some improvement in their respective operating environment," it says, remaining "cautiously optimistic".

Current stock price: USD0.414

Year-to-date change: up 14%
