IN BRIEF: Supermarket Income REIT Buys Supermarket In Leicestershire

Supermarket Income REIT PLC - real estate investment trust investing in supermarket property - Acquires a Waitrose supermarket in Market Harborough, Leicestershire from London-based investment service Alpha Real Estate for GBP9.1 million. Says price represents a net initial yield of 4.3%, and property has an unexpired lease term of 19 years with a break option at year 14.

"We are pleased to have added a further Waitrose store to our growing portfolio. This store has strong omnichannel trading fundamentals and is situated in a prominent location within a highly affluent town," says Ben Green, director of Atrato Capital, the investment adviser to Supermarket Income REIT.

Year-to-date change: down 2.9%
