Smartspace Software PLC - Bury St Edmunds, England-based SaaS-based technology business, which designs and builds smart software solutions - Reports revenue for the year ended January 31 of GBP5.1 million, up 48% from GBP3.4 million a year ago. Says Pretax loss was GBP1.7 million, narrowing from GBP3.4 million the year prior. Declares no dividend, unchanged from a year ago.
Chief Executive Frank Beechinor said: "We see a great opportunity to focus on being a pure software business. With hardware no longer part of the continuing Group, the revenues we generate will come at a high gross margin, in keeping with those of high growth SaaS businesses.
"Our new fully integrated single workplace platform is nearing completion and will launch in the current financial year. There are also a number of other new revenue generating features due to be released in the coming months, which add to our confidence that we can maintain our growth trajectory."
