SigmaRoc PLC - London-based quarried materials group - Obtains UK patent on its Alfabloc Mark II product, which is an interconnecting precast concrete walling system produced in the UK, Ireland, Benelux and Scandinavia. Each free-standing section can be interlocked to form a continuous wall, up to six metres high. SigmaRoc says the Alfabloc Mark II will make the installation and interlocking of the wall system even faster. It will be produced as an ultra-low carbon product from January.
