Sensyne Health PLC - Oxford-based clinical artificial intelligence technology company - Signs five-year non-exclusive strategic research agreement with Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Agreement will enable the ethical application of clinical artificial intelligence research to improve patient care and accelerate research into new medicines.
Sensyne says data set to be utilised covers 650,000 unique patient records with 55,000 annual hospital admissions from a patient population of around 350,000 people, adding that this research agreement brings the combined total of anonymised data available for analysis by Sensyne to 4.5 million patients.
Milton Keynes University Hospital will receive 1.4 million Sensyne shares - around 1.1% stake - bringing the total share ownership held by NHS Trusts in Sensyne to 11%. The hospital will also receive an investment of up to GBP250,000 annually over the five-year term of the contract for specific investments in information technology to enable the curation and analysis of data under the strategic research agreement.
