Schroder British Opportunities Trust PLC - London-based public and private investment trust focused on small to mid-cap UK companies - Announces investment in Acturis Ltd, a London-based software-as-a-service provider for brokers, insurers and managing general agents across the general insurance market. It says Acturis has seen strong organic and inorganic growth in recent years, following its expansion into Germany, France, Canada, Ireland and the US. The capital will be invested to support Acturis's expansion and innovation efforts.
The company gained exposure to Acturis through its long-standing investment partner Astorg Asset Management, a Luxembourg-based private equity firm that will partner closely with Acturis to drive the investee's international growth. This will be the eleventh private equity investment for Schroder British Opportunities.
Current stock price: 74.20 pence, down 2.4% in London on Friday afternoon
