Saga PLC - Kent-based holiday and insurance provider to over 50s - Announces sale of Bennetts motorcycle insurance broker to Atlanta Investment Holdings C Ltd, subsidiary of the Ardonagh Group, has been completed. Saga first announced the sale, worth GBP26 million, back in February as it sought to focus on its core branded businesses. The UK Competition & Markets authority has imposed an Initial Enforcement Order on Ardonagh and Bennetts so both parties can maintain competitive structures and are held separate while the regulator carries out its merger investigation.
